I would like to thank a number of people, without whom this book would not have materialised.

First and foremost, my wife, Louise, who has lost evenings and weekends over the last year whilst I’ve researched and drafted this book and has kept me going to be able to share my experience with you. I am truly grateful for the love we have shared over the last thirty years and the support to be able to finally achieve the goal of completing the book. My father, Eric, has been a constant and positive conscience to me making progress and, after more than thirty years of my career in data, analytics and insight, may finally begin to understand what it is I do!
