Yilian Villanueva is the VP of Tableau Services at Lovelytics. Traditional as it may sound, her day to day goes everywhere from taking sales calls to putting out fires at client sites, as well as leading the occasional webinar on visual analytics and mentoring and coaching Lovelytics' newer recruits. Originally from Havana, Cuba, Yilian graduated as a telecommunications engineer from Havana Polytechnic University, where she taught physics upon graduation. After this, she worked for Tableau as a product consultant before moving to Deloitte to explore the consulting world, landing at Lovelytics later for a role that combines the best of the previous two. She runs on pure-grade Cuban coffee, probably because she is not a morning person.
Alexander: You are VP of Tableau Services at Lovelytics. What is your mission?
Yilian: My mission is to bring data democratization to companies to help people truly see and understand their data and make informed decisions in order to grow.
