As a Microsoft digital advisor, Andreas Kopp advises enterprise customers on the strategic planning and implementation of digital business solutions. His focus is on applied business AI solutions, including medical imaging and fraud detection. Furthermore, he specializes in practical solutions for the responsible use of AI systems. Among these are AI interpretability, algorithmic fairness, privacy-preserving analytics, and machine learning with the differential privacy concept.

Alexander: You are a digital advisor for AI business solutions at Microsoft. What is your mission?

Andreas: We guide large commercial and public organizations during the whole lifecycle of digital transformation initiatives. A typical project starts with envisioning workshops that involve business and technology stakeholders. Once a target vision and plan are defined, the realization phase often involves many customer and external participants delivering a broad range of specialized activities. A digital advisor's responsibility is to ensure everybody strives toward a common big picture in this phase. Furthermore, we track the realization of objectives and business value when the first minimally viable products (MVPs) are in place.
