I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Device management
This is one of the most important management features that needs to be part of any IoT platform. Given the various reports that we have seen in this book, we are talking about billions of devices.
Managing 5, 10, 100, or 1,00,000 devices is very simple. Imagine the interconnection between multiple devices across multiple users; performing different activities is not that easy to manage.
A good device registry or a catalog that can define each device and query it individually or as a part of a group of devices is highly important.
Imagine one device of your 8,000-device group goes rogue and stars performing a DDoS attack on your own servers. This is when the value of a good device management stack is realized.
