I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Predictive maintenance
Scheduled maintenance is something that has been happening for a long time. Most of the equipment that we see is maintained on a schedule rather than on the basis of its actual working life. This is where IoT comes in with a concept of predictive maintenance.
Imagine if you could predict a machine failure even before it happened. Isn't that what every business wants: to have literally zero downtime in their manufacturing process?
Imagine a factory that needs to manufacture 1 million ice-cream sandwiches per day and the factory throughput is exactly 1 million ice-cream sandwiches per day. What is percentage of error allowed? ZERO! Right?
