Setting up ThingsBoard

For this chapter, we are not going to set up an instance on our local machine; instead we are going to use the live demo instance:

1. Head over to https://demo.thingsboard.io/signup and sign up for a new account, if you don't already have one.

2. Now that we are logged in, click on DEVICES from the side menu. Once we are on the Devices page, we should see a bunch of pre-configured devices for us. We are not going to use any of them; instead we are going to create one of our own.
3. Using the + sign in the bottom right-hand corner, we will create a new device.
4. Fill in the new device form as shown:
