Summary

In this chapter, we have gone through the AWS IoT platform at a basic level. We have understood the basic components of this platform and then defined a use case that we wanted to implement with this platform.

Once we defined the use case, we went through the architecture and solution. Then, we set up our Thing, added the code needed in Raspberry Pi 3, and then subscribed to the data of the shadow topic to get data updates in real time.

Next, we set up an AWS IoT Rule that sent the incoming data to the Elasticsearch service and visualized it through Kibana. We finally set up the required infrastructure and configured our dashboard.
