Setting up a REST log appender

Next, we are going to create a REST log appender, which is going to publish the data that the Kaa middleware receives in real time to an HTTP(s) endpoint. This way, a client interested in real-time data can fetch it.

This REST log appender is going to transmit the data to a Node.js server and display it in the console. This can be any server and any application that can process incoming data in real time. For that, from the left menu, select Pi3-DHT11-App | Log appenders. Next, click on Add log appender and fill in the form as given in the following table:
