Software that can run in parallel with other IoT platform pieces, which keeps monitoring the data and generates analytics on the fly, is a good feature to have. One of the end goals of IoT, as we have seen in Chapter 9, IoT and Machine Learning, is the ability to generate reports and analyze data to get the desired outcome from the entire system.
