The role of language in organisations 15
The proposed research directions have the potential to oer novel and ground-
breaking insights to language-sensitive research and enrich the research agenda
of organisation and management scholars.
Leveraging diverse sense-making rather than making it uniform with the
use of a single language has the potential to positively influence organisational
processes, changes, and innovation.
The value of this approach lies in its recognition of individuals and their lan-
guage identity (and therefore language diversity) as an important resource for
organisations and multilingual settings and in its insights into how language
diversity can be valued and utilised for the benefit of organisations.
