the investors reside. We proposed that a country’s linguistic heterogeneity (i.e.
immigration and number of languages spoken) is positively associated with
crowdfunding investment (Hypotheses 2 and 3). The results show that immi-
gration (p = 0.032, β = 1.706) and the number of languages spoken (p = 0.009,
β = 0.225) positively influenced investment via crowdfunding, thereby
confirming our expectations.
