Scheduling services improve efficiency of the system. A BS can predict the throughput and latency needs by specifying scheduling services and QoS parameters associated. The scheduling services in WirelessMAN (802.16) reuse the services defined by cable modem DOCSIS standards. Table 5-3 summarizes the services. Each of these services is fine-tuned for specific data flow.
