EPON and ADSL

The choice of method for broadband is EPON, which guarantees high-speed access to the curb site. From the curb site to the end user, there are many ways to transmit. One of the low-cost approaches is to use the existing Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). The method uses one of the variants of DSL over the telephone network. This is a relatively popular method on account of the low cost and ease of deployment. The variant of DSL most suited for this approach is asymmetric DSL (ADSL), whereby the upstream and downstream rates are different, and are so to adhere to the access characteristic of the end users.
