I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Control
Control menu commands provide playback controls to test your animation in the application window, the Flash Player, and HTML pages.
Play
Windows: Enter
Mac: Return
Plays the timeline in the Flash window, showing the contents of each frame on the stage.
Rewind
Windows: Ctrl+Alt+R
Mac: Option-⌘-R
Moves the playhead in the timeline back to the first frame.
Go To End
Moves the playhead in the timeline to the last frame.
Step Forward One Frame
Windows: . (period)
Mac: . (period)
Moves the playhead in the timeline ahead one frame.
Step Backward One Frame
Windows: , (comma)
Mac: , (comma)
Moves the playhead in the timeline back one frame.
Test Movie
Windows: Ctrl+Enter
Mac: ⌘-Return
Compiles the animation and then runs it in the Flash Player. If your movie has more than one scene, this command plays all the scenes in order.
Test Scene
Windows: Ctrl+Alt+Enter
Mac: Option-⌘-Return
Compiles and tests the scene on the timeline. If you want to test and view all the scenes in your movie, use Text Movie (above).
Test Project
Windows: Ctrl+Alt+P
Mac: Option-⌘-P
Compiles and tests all the animations in your project. Projects are useful when a team of Flash animators and authors are working on the same project.
Delete ASO Files
Flash sometimes creates ASO (ActionScript Object) files when it compiles your movie; this command deletes those files. If necessary, Flash creates new ASO files if they're needed the next time you compile.
