The traceability matrix, also known as the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), is a document that helps test professionals to establish a correlation between what they are being asked to test and what is being covered in the testing phase. It establishes a many-to-many relationship between the requirements and the test scenarios or test cases identified, which will be used to verify the linked requirements.
