Case Study 1 HOSHIN KANRI AT AISIN-TAKAOKA

Aisin-Takaoka is a part of the Toyota automobile group and manufactures casting parts. It was established in 1960 at Toyota City in Aichi Pref. Currently, the goal of its quality management is to build a company based on the philosophy that quality is supreme and to become a core company within the Aisin group.

Aisin-Takaoka changed its name from Takaoka Kogyo on September 1, 1986, in order to enhance the total strength of the Aisin group and to improve the image of the company. Hoshin kanri at this company goes back to its founding, but not until TQC was introduced in 1977 did real control and administration begin.
