I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Add a Drop Shadow to Text?
A drop shadow is only going to work effectively on large text. To add the shadow, use the Selection Tool (V) to select your text block, and then go to Object > Effects > Drop Shadow. Before you change any settings in the Effects dialog, make sure you check the Preview checkbox so you can see a live preview of the effect as you make your selections. Then make sure that Drop Shadow is checked in the list of effects on left side of the dialog (it should be checked already if you selected Drop Shadow from the Object > Effects ...
