I briefly covered this in another tip, but I wanted to put it into its own tip because it can be very helpful when you’re positioning images in InDesign. This is called “Patient User Mode” by Scott Kelby and Terry White. When you place an image into a frame and it is much larger than the frame, you can use the Direct Selection Tool (A) to click on the little donut in the center of the image and drag it around in the frame.
