Where Are these Trading Floors?
Most large global banks have active trading floors in New York, London, Tokyo and, increasingly, Hong Kong. However, while each location will have 20 or so major banks operating as the key liquidity providers in that financial market, the top 20 banks will differ slightly in each location. This list of top 20 banks will also differ depending on the product. Not every major bank is a major participant in every financial market. So one bank will be in the top 20 in New York for fixed income but not for equities or will be in the top 20 for fixed income in New York but not London.
