I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Sorting the data
You can also use the Source Qualifier transformation to sort the data while extracting the data from the database table. When you use the sorted port option, Integration Service will add defined ports to the ORDER BY clause in the default query. It will keep the sequence of the ports in the query similar to the sequence of ports defined in the transformation. To sort the data, double-click on the Source Qualifier transformation, click on the Properties tab, and specify Number Of SortedPorts as shown in the following screenshot:
