I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Creating the Lookup transformation
We will talk about the steps needed to create a lookup transformation:
- In the Mapping Designer, click on Transformations, and create Lookup transformation. Specify the name of the Lookup transformation, and click on OK.
- A new window will ask you to select the source, target, or Source Qualifier on which you wish to look up. You will get a list of all the sources, targets, and Source Qualifier available in your Repository. Click on the required component and then on OK as shown in the following screenshot:
