I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Mapplet
In the previous section, we saw how to make a transformation reusable. Going further, you may also like to reuse logic implemented using multiple transformations. A group of transformations that can be reused is called a Mapplet.
Mapplets can be created in Mapplet Designer in Informatica PowerCenter Designer. They allow you to reuse a group of transformations in multiple mappings. As in the case of reusable transformations, to use Mapplets, the metadata requirements of the mappings should be exactly the same.
You can use Mapplet Designer to create Mapplets with new transformations or use existing transformations.
To create a new Mapplet, follow the steps mentioned:
