Datenaufbereitung ist ein weit gefasster Begriff, mit dem man – oftmals ganz zwanglos – die Transformation von Rohdaten in ein sauberes und organisiertes Format beschreibt. Für uns ist Datenaufbereitung nur ein Schritt in der Vorverarbeitung unserer Daten, aber ein sehr wichtiger Schritt.
Die gebräuchlichste Datenstruktur, die für das »Aufbereiten« der Daten verwendet wird, ist der Dataframe (Datenrahmen), der sowohl intuitiv als auch unglaublich vielseitig sein kann. Dataframes haben eine tabellarische Struktur, d.h., sie basieren auf Zeilen und Spalten, wie man sie von einer Tabellenkalkulation kennt.
