Big ticket retailing
Big ticket retailing – product that typically has a retail selling price that starts in the low hundreds of pounds and rises to the thousands – presents a very different set of challenges to many of the other retail sectors. Often occupying out-of-town retail parks, with some high-street presence and a significant online presence, the buying, merchandising and supply chain functions operate using the same core skills and processes, but have to find ways to mitigate the problems that their style of retailing presents.
