6.4.5 Pulse Oximeter
Fixed-value or number poka-yoke can also detect whether
a number falls within a normal range. For example, a pulse
oximeter, as shown in Figure 6.17, monitors a patient’s
oxygen saturation level using a photodetector to analyze
blood oxygen levels. If the level falls below a certain value,
an alarm will sound.
