It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

8.1 Applets and Event Handling: An Introduction
The programs we have seen till now had text-based outputs. They were both uninspiring and
insipid. Today’s world is filled with graphics and client server programs with audio and video
integration. Moreover, these applications are all Internet-enabled and web-based applications.
Web applications extensively use graphical user interfaces (GUI) which are collectively pro-
vided in a tool kit called Abstract windowing tool (AWT) kit.
