So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

24.1.1 Winding Configurations
The following transformer winding configurations are often mentioned. Only a few of them are used in the plant distribution;
| Y–Δ | The best choice for HV grid transformers, with solidly grounded neutral and lower BIL. Yd11 was the configuration used on our last project for the main 275 kV transformers. Yd1 is equally common. |
| Y–y | Grounded or not grounded. Not used in the power distribution industry, mainly due to their poor performance in establishing stable grounding conditions. |
