This chapter has provided some basic inventory scenarios with some background information and resources to better understand inventory. But whether we are talking about ordering the data set for readability, tabulating running totals, un-weighted/weighted rolling averages, snapshots and/or semi-additive measures, these are fundamental in many data warehousing scenarios.
