So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Updating social media links
I wanted to highlight social media links as a common example of the previous step. All social media networks use HTTPS. Since most sites link to their social media profiles as part of the site's main layout, these should be the first links you update.
Because these links are typically contained in the site header, footer, or both, they propagate to every page. From a source code perspective, this app-shell file is a single file, and in audits like these, it is often overlooked.
When globally updating something, such as the protocol that is being used to reference a link, you need to audit your source code as well as your content. This includes every archetype file, such as the master and child layout files.
