So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Updating the sitemap and RSS feed to HTTPS
Just as you did with your site's source code and content, you should also make sure your sitemal.xml and RSS feed sources are updated to use HTTPS. These files are used by search engines and, of course, anyone that subscribes to your RSS feed. They serve as a known directory of your website.
The links in your sitemap are considered to be a source of authority to the search engines. Links in your RSS feed propagate to feed readers, and thus are the way many engaged visitors will enter your site. It is important that you bring them through the door in the best way.
