I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Selecting the endpoint
There are multiples endpoints that we will be useful for network analysis. There are three main objects that we can get with the Pinterest API:
- User
- Board
- Pins
You can use the following steps:
- Get the user information:
/v1/<user>/
- Get the user's followers:
https://api.pinterest.com/v1/<user>/followers/
- Get the user's friends:
https://api.pinterest.com/v1/<user>/following/users/
- Get user's boards:
https://api.pinterest.com/v1/<user>/boards/
- Get pins attached to a board:
https://api.pinterest.com/v1/boards/<board>/pins/
We will use all the presented methods for the analysis.
