Connecting to the API

In order to connect to the Pinterest API we follow the same logic as in the previous examples with the following steps:

1. Firstly, we import the libraries and define an access token and parameters.

import requests 
 
access_token = 'YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN' 
 
params = {'access_token': access_token, 'fields' : 'counts, bio, first_name, last_name'} 

2. Then, we create a function that will make requests and parse the response as JSON.

def pinterest(url, params): 
 
  response = requests.get(url = url, params = params) 
 
  return response.json() 

 

3. We use the pinterest function to retrieve information from various endpoints.
