I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Association rule mining
There are several algorithmic implementations for association rule mining. Key among them is the apriori algorithm by Rakesh Agrawal and Ramakrishnan Srikanth, introduced in their paper, Fast Algorithms for Mining Association Rules. Going forward, we will use both the apriori algorithm and the association rule mining algorithm interchangeably.
Apriori is a parametric algorithm. It requires two parameters named support and confidence from the user. Support is needed to generate the frequent itemsets and the confidence parameter is required to filter the induced rules from the frequent itemsets.
