It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Introducing CDNs
A CDN, or Content Delivery Network, is a network of geographically distributed servers with the goal of providing high availability and performance. Requests that would typically be resolved in your application server can be responded to faster thanks to the CDN edge server. An edge server is a server that is placed geographically closer to the user (as shown in the image).
