I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 6Thinking Architecture for Performance
Rails is well-known as the ideal framework for building a startup. Thanks to Ruby on Rails, it’s not impossible to get pretty far in the startup game with an incredibly small engineering team. In other words, Rails is a fantastic tool for going from zero to one. This is not a coincidence: Rails scaffolding, generators, a wide array of opinionated libraries, and in general, the “convention over configuration” approach incredibly empower both the solo developer and the small team.
