I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summing Up
You just completed the chapter on monitoring. I want to reiterate a couple of things: this was just an introduction to monitoring, something that should be more than enough for you to build the base of your monitoring system. Later, as your application grows, you will discover the most fitting practices to check on the performance of your own application.
Moreover, despite the fact that in this whole chapter you have been working with Datadog, do not feel that you need to use this platform. As I said before, I have chosen it for the book as it’s the one that I am the most used to, but there are other very good options. What I would like you to keep in mind is not the specifics of setting up traces or building a dashboard on Datadog ...
