So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using Feature Flags for Better Rollouts
Another common source of problems with a big monolithic codebase id the deployment pipeline. Deploying is, in general, slow. Moreover, if something goes wrong with your newly deployed code, having to execute an unexpected deployment in the middle of the day can disrupt the whole engineering team. And, as your application grows, it becomes harder to be completely sure that your brand-new code will not hit some edge case—a circumstance that can force you to roll back the whole deployment altogether.
