10 Generic service design techniquesTargeted demographic

Introduction

This chapter describes generic techniques that can be used to support the delivery of the services described within the Service Design Service Framework (introduced in Chapter 2). The techniques covered in this chapter are:

  • interviews;
  • storytelling;
  • observation.

These techniques may be used to elicit information from a targeted stakeholder demographic. This contrasts with the techniques used to elicit information and insights from a distributed demographic of stakeholders (see Chapter 11).
