I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Studies going back almost 100 years show that when you expand a road network by x%, traffic inevitably grows by at least x%. Economists call this induced demand: when there’s more of something, people will use it.
At college, my department ran an IBM/370-135. It supported 20 simultaneous online users, most doing development work. It had a total of 384 kB of memory. Nowadays, you’d be lucky to fit a single web app into 1,000 times that space.
We can boast that the phone in our pocket has more GFlops than the entire world’s hardware in 1970, but we forget that they put people on the moon using a flight guidance computer with 4 kB of RAM and less than 40 kB of storage, all clocked at a whopping 2 MHz.
