Part 4Simplify Your Code

This part is something of an anomaly. The other parts are fairly high level, but here I dive down into the code.

It’s also strange because its two chapters are very different. The first is an exploration of using data to drive the operation of code rather than have code simply process data. The chapter is there not because it’s the only way of simplifying code, but because as a technique it is easy to implement, it delivers a lot of benefit, and it isn’t widely used.

The second chapter in this part is even stranger: it’s a collection of one- or two-page very low-level practices that I use daily when coding.
