I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 3Simplify Your Projects
So far, I’ve been looking at ways we can simplify our approach to the technologies we use. That’s a good thing because that’s where we have the most power to change things.
But I have to acknowledge that I’m in a privileged position: I work for myself, and the majority of code I write is in support of that business.
So when it came time to talk about projects and teams, I reached out. At the end of 2023 I opened up my calendar and invited teams to chat with me. Over the next few months I spoke with roughly 50 teams from around the world.
