I spend far too long every day looking at a rectangle of dark plastic covered by what my wife calls “teeny-tiny writing.” This is my window into the abstraction we call software development. I use it to create and maintain code, to run programs, to do research, and to watch cat videos.
It makes sense to do as much as I can to tailor this environment to both my needs and the projects I’m working on. That involves two main things: trying every single damn color scheme I can find and automating as much as I can.
