As XML proliferates around the computing world, tools like the DOM and SAX are being used to facilitate development. It’s vital for applications to be able to communicate with information that is formatted with XML. The features in SAX and the DOM give a developer a lot of flexibility and provide a large set of tools to developers for integrating and developing with large sets of XML data.
