Chapter 14. A Shot in Production
Here in the final chapter, I'll take you through five animations using the techniques I've described. Whenever those techniques work particularly well, or need to be ignored, or are amplified, I'll point it out and discuss the how and the why. This chapter is all about the doing, the art, the acting, and the performing. I am by no means God's gift to animation, but I do okay making a talking head look like a living one and not just a set of gums flapping. That life factor is going to be most of my focus here; I'm concerned mostly with the character's head space, the emotional outlook.
