So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
1Introduction: The Power of Amping Up
Being a leader at a fast-growing organization is hugely challenging. Not only are you responsible for setting the direction of your company, but you are also accountable for inspiring your people to maximize their performance to reach your goals. Focused leadership can bring instant energy to an organization, revving up performance and motivating your employees. GET THE LAY OF THE LAND
Consider the challenges, rewards, and excitement that are part of your daily life as a leader. Now, imagine you have succeeded in amping up your organization. What specific accomplishments would you be most proud of? What difficulties would you have overcome? How would you prepare for what comes next?
What do you hope to learn? How do you think it will help you get from where you are right now to where you imagine you could be after a successful scale?
Now, take stock of the areas in your organization that you can amp up. Based on your metrics and your instincts, what areas seem dormant or slow moving? How can you amp up their performance?
