I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
CHAPTER 21: STRIVING FOR VICTORY
Protecting an organisation from cyber attack or breaches is hard work. To repeat the IRA’s chilling message to Margaret Thatcher, a central edict of cyber criminals is: “Today we were unlucky, but remember we only have to be lucky once. You will have to be lucky always.” You may be working hard for months and years to implement technologies, plans and processes that are never needed. The awful truth is, you’ll never know if you’ve done enough until they’re tested, and as we all know, there is no 100% guarantee that they will work. It has already been said that we are in the midst of a global ‘arms race’ where the enemy is working hard to gain access to our systems and data.
