The goal of this chapter is to provide an emergent collaboration framework that organizations can use and adapt to meet their needs. This framework not only addresses collaboration within the enterprise but also includes collaboration with customers. I have found that the difference between developing a specific employee framework and developing a specific customer framework is small. Thus, although this book and this framework are meant to be used as a model for enterprise collaboration, they can also be used as a way to devise a customer collaboration strategy.
