Over the last few years several enterprise collaboration initiatives have been touted as being successful. However, a few years later those successes were being called failures. Why? Because adoption rates of deployed enterprise collaboration tools have begun to plummet. A few months ago I had a conversation with an executive who told me that his company’s adoption rates have traditionally been over 80 percent but that now adoption is somewhere in the range of 20 percent. The executive had no idea why this was happening.
