Once an organization selects and deploys an emergent collaboration solution, the next step is to get employees to use the new tool or tools. Every organization has its own ways of getting employees to adopt new tools and solutions; in fact, I haven’t seen many similar approaches to increasing adoption. Strategies for adoption are not as effective when they are simply white labeled or copied because many variables differ from one organization to another. Before we begin exploring adoption, let’s take a look at where companies are currently in the grand scheme of things (Figure 10.1).
