The other day, I was speaking with an executive who was getting ready to uproot her family, yet again, and make a move back across “the pond.” Like most parents relocating with kids in tow, she was lamenting the impact this move would have on her family. She then confided in me that she was taking the new assignment because she was asked to do so by a leader with a strong pull. She had worked for this gentleman before and simply could not pass up the opportunity to do so again.
